Executive Leadership in Major Projects Launch

We were delighted to have launched our Executive Leadership in Major Projects (ELMP) program through a celebratory networking event on the evening of Tuesday 23 September 2025. Joined by over 80 guests, we were proud to unveil this newly revamped program for leaders of major projects to a room full of our colleagues from industry, academia, and government.
At the event, we heard from the University of Sydney’s Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Mark Scott AO, who emphasised the importance of this program and how it aligns with the University’s mission of inspiring leadership ‘for good’. This was followed by John Grill AO, our patron and founder, who officially opened the 2026 cohort of this program and spoke about his founding vision of improving project leadership through the Institute and the ELMP.
One of our alumnae, Hannah Clement (Executive General Manager of Civic Infrastructure at Development Victoria), also took to the stage and shared her experience of undertaking the program and how it transformed her career by changing her perspective and approach to the complex projects she led. Proceedings then closed with an address from our Director of Executive Education, Dr Bradley Hastings, who provided an outline of the introspective learning experience that participants would undertake.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the launch and joined us in celebration of this important milestone for our Institute. We hope you had a wonderful and memorable time with us at the evening.
The ELMP is an experiential 10-month journey designed to help senior project professionals develop the skills to lead within the complex, ever-changing landscape of today’s projects. It was developed in consultation with world – class academics and leading industry figures, blending real-world research on project success and global leadership best practice.
