Research Theme Workshops

On Thursday 8 May 2025, we brought together academics from across the University of Sydney to identify opportunities for and to organise research collaboration projects aligned with our Research Themes. We were joined by researchers from various disciplines, including those from the Faculty of Engineering, Sydney Business School, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

The session started with an address from our Director, Professor Jennifer Whyte, who gave an introduction to our Institute, speaking about our mission to improve project leadership and how our research explores project leadership within the backdrop of our changing and uncertain world.

After the opening, the attendees split into three groups, with each centred around one of our Research Sub-Themes. The groups discussed how their work could relate to project leadership and identified specific grants and paper topics that we could collaborate on.

To close, the attendees reconvened and shared what they had gleaned in their conversations and what their plans were to develop and action the initiatives discussed at the workshop.
