Project Leadership in a Changing World – 4th International Symposium
On Wednesday 13 November 2024, we held the Project Leadership in a Changing World – 4th International Symposium alongside our co-organisers at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at University College London.
From 5.00pm – 11.00pm (AEDT)/6.00am – 12.00pn (GMT) we held a series of selected paper presentations from submissions that we received from academics around the world. There were 17 presenters from 7 different countries – the full agenda can be found here.
From these presentations we offered high commendations to three papers:
- The role of leadership in ex-post project benefits realisation by Dr Sarah Coleman
- ESG-Driven Evolution of Owner Project Capabilities in Infrastructure Delivery by Ting Ting Lee
- Transformational Project Leadership: The Engine of Strategic Entrepreneurship by Dr Xinyue Zhang.
Another accolade was the Best Paper Award, which was awarded to Meiqi Lu for her paper: ‘Leaders in Projects Make the Future of Energy Transition: A Systematic Scoping Review’.
There were also two panel discussions held on AI and Sustainability, Resilience and Just Futures and their impact on project leadership in a changing world. These discussions consisted of conversations between leading academics and industry professionals from these fields.
