Digital Transformation

In today’s fast-paced environment, complex projects require more than traditional methods. We look into integrating digital transformation into every aspect of project management — from AI methods for project delivery and governance, to digital transformation by projects, and how digital information transforms the project model. 

Using AI and other innovative technologies to improve project delivery and governance 

In the face of growing complexity, this subtheme focus on using data-driven approaches and novel technologies to support decision-makers in conceiving and setting up complex projects.  
We are leveraging generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), natural language processing (NLP) and other state-of-the-art analytical technologies to make project analysis and delivery more efficient.​ 

Projects that implement digital technologies enabling organisation transformation   

Digital transformations are ambitious, complex and high risk.  The aim of this subtheme is to improve the performance rate of digital transformation projects through improved leadership and governance.   

Complex projects, and how they are transformed through the use of digital information  

Within complex projects, that deliver complex products and services, digital information is now pervasive. How does this digital information transform the project model? The aim of this subtheme is to help project leaders to improve the productivity and innovation in projects by providing methods and insights that support them in asking strategic questions about how projects can be designed to deliver better using digital information. 


Our researchers draw on expertise across the University of Sydney, including computer science, data science and medicine, to understand areas of application such as asset management and mega projects.

We offer customised collaborative frameworks, such as competitive grants, to ensure efficient engagements and meet your needs.
